Smart Solutions presented a report at the HR Committee meeting of AHK
5 March, Smart Solutions Recruitment Department Head Assel Smagulova presented an analysis of changes in Kazakhstan’s labor market and key challenges for employers in 2025.
AI Impact on the Labor Market
According to the study, which involved more than 100 companies, 40% of organizations in Kazakhstan are implementing AI tools. However, the pace is slower than global rates. Despite the fact that the pace of AI adoption in Kazakhstan is below global levels, its implementation is actively gaining momentum. The most common AI solutions are used for analyzing employee engagement, managing business processes, and automating routine tasks.
Candidate Expectations
A survey of more than 150 candidates showed that 82% are dissatisfied with their current salary and are ready to consider new career opportunities. Meanwhile, 45% are actively seeking career growth for promotion, and only 11% are completely satisfied with current conditions.
Hybrid and Remote Work Format
Assel noted that less than 1% of Kazakhstanis work completely remotely, while the hybrid format is becoming the new norm. In 2024, many employers used various strategies to return employees to the office or increase the number of office days.
Globalization of Hiring
An important trend has been the blurring of boundaries for specialists: 57% of IT professionals see no difference between local and international work. There is growing demand for analysts, marketers, and finance professionals, and international companies are increasingly hiring Kazakhstani specialists remotely.
Main Forecast for 2025: Kazakhstan’s labor market will face intensified competition for qualified personnel, increased mobility of specialists, and the need for more flexible HR strategies.
Smart Solutions will continue to track these trends and help companies adapt to changing labor market conditions.
