One of Smart Solutions’ recent studies focuses on the current state of the HR market in Kazakhstan. It provides a comprehensive overview of the situation in this market segment, enabling the optimization of HR providers’ business solutions.
The survey was conducted among professionals holding various positions in the HR field (from recruiters and HR managers to HR business partners and HR directors) and consisted of 19 open-ended and closed-ended questions. We invite you to familiarize yourself with its main findings.
The satisfaction level of HR specialists with their salaries indicates that 46.43% of respondents are rather satisfied with their earnings, 10.71% are very satisfied, 32.14% neutral in their assessment of their pay, and only 10.71% are rather dissatisfied with their salary size. When it comes to the benefits package, 14.29% are very satisfied with its content and scope, 46.43% are rather satisfied, and 32.14% and 7.14% are neutral and rather dissatisfied, respectively.
It is encouraging that there are no respondents completely dissatisfied with these two indicators. On the other hand, it should alert businesses that approximately 40% of HR employees are not optimistic about their salary and benefits package. This implies that considering the modern high demand in the HR market, there is a high probability of resignations and the search for higher-paying positions among most of these 40%. Therefore, to retain their HR specialists, companies should reconsider the aspects of salary structure and benefits package.
A positive sign is that 71.43% of respondents receive a salary increase annually. In 3.57% of cases, the review occurs every six months, and in 17.86%, it happens only when transitioning to a higher position. Additionally, 29.17% of respondents saw their salary increase by 5-10%, another 29.17% by 10-15%, and 16.67% by 15-20%. Overall, these figures are quite satisfactory: more than 75% of HR specialists receive regular salary increments. Consequently, inflation and rising prices, essentially, do not affect their purchasing power.
Among the general trends in the labor market of Kazakhstan, HR specialists have highlighted the expansion of company staff (67.86%), as well as salary growth (80.77%) and the attraction of foreign employees (46.15%).
The data above indicate that Kazakhstan’s labor market is experiencing positive dynamics and has not yet reached its peak. This means that the demand for specialists of various specializations, including HR specialists, will continue to rise in the near future.
