Smart Solutions visited the orphanage”Kovcheg”
On June 1, on International Children’s Day, at the initiative Head of the Department of Outstaffing and Outsourcing BPO Irina Shpak, Smart Solutions visited to orphanage “Kovcheg” in Talgar. The event involved a meeting with the school graduates (9th and 11th grades) as well as college graduates. The purpose of the meeting was to introduce the younger generation to the process of employment, the first job interview, and the possible challenges at the beginning of their career path.
“The children in ‘Kovcheg’ live in an atmosphere of mutual support, and they have wonderful caregivers. However, on the threshold of adulthood, when there are numerous responsible choices and crucial decisions ahead, they need even more assistance. Their future, their entire life, to a large extent depends on their choice of profession and employment. They need guidance, direction, and support. That’s why we paid them a visit,” said the initiator of the trip, Irina Shpak.
Representatives from Smart Solutions (Irina Shpak, Shahinur Mukhamedieva, Aisu Karabalina, and Nurzhamal Taubekova) shared with the children the starting point of job searching, how to properly create a resume, succeed in interviews, and discussed the peculiarities of Kazakhstan’s labor legislation.
They also talked about the rights and responsibilities of employees after starting a job. In a playful format, they conducted “interviews,” answered all the children’s questions, and discussed their future plans. An hour and a half flew by unnoticed, and at the end of the meeting, each participant received a sample employment contract, job application, order, and employee questionnaire.
The “Kovcheg” children’s home provides all the conditions for the development of successful and happy individuals: living in a natural environment, receiving a good education, comfortable houses, sports and playgrounds, and swimming pools. But the most important aspect is that the children are taught the value of work from an early age.
They work together in greenhouses, strawberry fields, and learn sewing skills in a special workshop. This means that the foundation for their future has already been laid.In addition, Smart Solutions engaged the Association of Career Counselors, specifically Jeanar Musina, to work with the children. The Association provided free tokens for taking tests, and Jeanar will serve as a consultant for the children. It is crucial at the beginning of their journey to understand their strengths and potential future careers where they can be successful.
