The First Smart Solutions Club Meeting in Uzbekistan and a Workshop for BMU Students

On February 25-26, two significant events for the HR community took place in Uzbekistan. Tatyana Skachko and Asel Smagulova conducted a “Career Start” Workshop for British Management University students, followed by the country’s first Smart Solutions Club meeting, which brought together HR leaders from both local and international businesses.

During the workshop, students received practical recommendations on how to attract employers’ attention, which skills are most in demand in today’s job market, and how to effectively present their candidacy to potential employers.

Smart Solutions Club participants enjoyed an exclusive tour of the university campus and took part in a Public Talk on “From Student to Leader: How to Identify and Grow Talent.” The event served as an effective platform for discussing key challenges and current trends in human resource management, as well as sharing successful cases and development strategies.

Key topics we covered:

  • Regional business growth: Which HR strategies help companies develop and build teams across the country, taking into account regional specifics.
  • HiPo (High Potential Employees) programs: How to approach development projects while avoiding non-obvious mistakes.
  • International Intern Program: Experience in creating and implementing internship programs that have shown impressive results in just 2 years.
  • Management skills development: How to effectively develop middle and line management to meet growing business demands.
  • Responsible leadership: What competencies effective future leaders should possess and what needs to be established from university days.
  • People growth = business growth: Smart Solutions’ international experience in preparing successful specialists and managers.

Representatives from Nestle, Jacobs, Beeline, Uz Cooper, Pay me, and British Management University participated as speakers.

This event was an important step in developing Uzbekistan’s HR community, and we are confident that the ideas and solutions we discussed will help many companies reach a new level.
