Responsibilities:
• Development and implementation of strategies for specific categories in accordance with general business goals and objectives.
• Analysis of market trends, consumer preferences and competitors’ activities to identify growth opportunities and risks.
• Development and implementation of procurement strategies in accordance with the overall business goals and objectives of the food retail chain.
• Create and manage an assortment of products within certain food categories, taking into account factors such as consumer demand, seasonality and new trends.
• Plan and conduct advertising campaigns, discounts and offers to attract customer traffic and increase sales within this category.
• Set budgets by category, forecast sales and track financial performance in accordance with targets.
• Lead and manage a team of category managers and analysts, providing guidance, mentoring and feedback on performance.
• Evaluation and analysis of the department’s performance, including preparation of reports on completed tasks and employee performance.
• Development and proposal of measures to improve the process and optimize costs.
• Maintain product quality and safety standards through rigorous quality control processes.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, marketing, retail management or related fields (Master’s degree is preferred).
• Proven experience in category management in the food retail sector with gradually increasing responsibility.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in category management software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
• Leadership experience with demonstrated ability to lead and develop a highly effective team.
